Honda CBR 250 R

Honda CBR250R Photos Specifications Price. Honda Thailand, today, Wednesday (27/10), officially launched the all-new Honda CBR250R conducted promptly at 13:00 local time (same as Jakarta) in Zentera Grand (Central World) in Bangkok, Thailand.
Launch of Honda CBR250R sport bike is once again began selling Honda motorcycles 250cc engine capacity in the ASEAN market.



Honda CBR 250R is the latest to be produced in Thailand and began to be marketed in November 2010. The machine that carried CBR250R is a production of Thai Honda Maufacturing Co.., Ltd.. (Honda Thailand).

The presence of this sporty model is the first global product manufactured in Thailand. In addition marketed in Thailand and ASEAN, including Indonesia, CBR250R will be supplied to the fulfillment of consumers in Japan, Europe, North America, and Australia. In Japan, this product will be marketed starting in 2011.

According to Honda Thailand, design engineering (R & D) new CBR250R done through supervision of Japan and Thailand. The emphasis of design and technical CBR250R said to be "Sport Quarter for One World, CBR 250R."

This concept aims for CBR250R can be ridden by all the riders in a variety of purposes, ranging from beginner to experienced, including when they want to do maneuvers.

This motor has three options namely Candy ruby red color, sword silver metallic and black metallic asteroids.

About CBR250R sales plan in Indonesia, most likely wait while the motor is on display at the Jakarta Motorcycle Show 2010 start 3 November in building the Jakarta Convention Center (JCC), Jakarta. About the price, did not appear to be far adrift with Kawasaki Ninja 250R around Rp40 million.

Review HJC CL-12 & AC-10 Helmet

HJC Helmets


HJC has two full-face helmet models for the rider who wants solid protection, but whose wallet does not overflow with cash. The AC-10 and CL-12 share many characteristics, with the former having a few upgrades. Both helmet models are relatively inexpensive, but they really come through in a crash.

CL-12

The HJC CL-12 helmet is a helmet that provides good comfort, reduced wind noise and protection. It is not the flashiest helmet on the market or even in its price range, but HJC is marketing this helmet for people who aren’t concerned with looking like their favorite racer. The line does offer many colors so that any rider should be able to find one that matches their bike if they so choose. The helmet is DOT and SNELL approved so it can be worn at any track day.

HJC also produces visors in several tints and colors for this helmet. I used a medium tint visor on this helmet and found that it blocked out plenty of sun during the day and I could get away with wearing it at night. The visor change is a little time consuming because the visor snaps into the helmet and is held in place by two small tabs on the visor that break easily, so you want to be careful. I went through two smoked shields because I broke a tab on the first one while changing it and the visor flew off my helmet when I looked over my right shoulder while on the freeway. The visor also has a tendency to lift when you turn your head at freeway speeds to check your blind spots. I found this to be rather annoying and began holding my visor down with my left hand when I would turn my head on the freeway.

Another downside to this helmet is that the ventilation system on it must be for cosmetic reasons only because I could tell no difference between it being opened or closed. For those of you who drip buckets from your head, this would definitely be a deterring factor.

What I do like about the helmet is that it offers good protection at a very reasonable price. I have crashed tested this helmet, accidentally, and suffered no head trauma. I hit the asphalt at about 40 mph and never missed a beat.

The HJC CL-12 does not have a lot of bells and whistles that many other helmets offer, but it does protect your head in a crash and that is the most important thing a helmet does.

AC-10

The AC-10 is HJC’s step up from the CL-12. You can find this helmet in not only a large variety of solid colors, but also in graphics as well. It has removable cheek pads and a more comfortable liner. Its venting system is more advanced than the CL-12, but I still cannot feel a difference between having it open or closed. Its visor is attached the same way as the CL-12, which means you need to be careful when taking it out to not break the plastic tabs that hold it in. The visor on the AC-10 does seem to hold in place better and does not lift when I turn my head at freeway speeds. Another thing that I noticed at freeway speeds is that it is very stable. It has a bit of a fin on the back of it that keeps your head planted and cuts out the buffeting that can become very annoying and tiring. The AC-10 is slightly lighter than the CL-12, and provides a higher SNELL rating (SNELL M2000). This is due to the “Advanced Composites” used to create this helmet’s protective interior.

While I have not crash tested this HJC, and hopefully never will before I retire it, I am confident that it would provide the protection I need so that I could continue writing reviews like these.

Helmet Certification

Snell
Currently Snell certification is considered as benchmarks of quality helmets. Snell provides the highest standard for testing helmets. Snell issued a certification for products helmet (all macem helmets, bicycle helmets, helmets go-kart, etc.) that are circulating in the U.S. market. Certification is very specific to a particular brand, a certain type, and a certain size. Some of the brand and type of helmet that is in the list is Snell certified products (which may exist in the Indonesian market only): AGV: 00F3; Arai: Astral-X, Astro-TR, Chaser, Classic-LE2, Classic / c, Condor, Corsair, GP-5X, Omni-J, Quantum-2, RAPIDE-Ov, RAPIDE-SR, RX-7 Corsair, RX-7RC, Signet-II, the SZ-F, SZ-Ram 3, SZ / c, SZ / m, Tour-X, Vcross-3, Viper-GT, VX-3, XD, XDMotard. DOT (Department of Transportation) U.S.
Actually, DOT does not issue a List of Approved Product. But the NHTSA (National Highway Traffic Safety Association, a part of DOT) has a list of standard test results FVMSS 218 (DOT standards for helmets) for each Fiscal Year. Brand which passes the test DOT DOT reserves the right to include a small sticker on the product. U.S. DOT himself acknowledged many counterfeit DOT stickers (it's in the U.S., especially in Indonesia).

(1) Name of plant / her identification.

(3) Size

E2205 or European Standard ECE 22-05
All helmets sold in the UK have to pass this certification, or the old standard BS 6658. ECE 22-05 helmets tested by BSI (British Standard Institute). BSI 6658 and ECE 22-05 including the highest standards, can be equated with the Snell M-2000, and is considered higher than the DOT standards and European standards CE other older. Sticker ECE 22-05 usually in the back of the helmet, including the identity of the batch number.

There is a shop in Jakarta that offer Helmets cave that he said the European standard EN-3. He's lying, EN-3 standard is the standard european for Fire Extinguisher (fire extinguisher). There is no brand in the list issued INK Snell (as of March 1, 2006) (sorry for the fanatic INK). Just to make guidance aja, he wore a helmet also need merhatiin age helmet.
